How to fall in love with your meal!

Workshop available on three seperate dates.

  • Saturday, 29.04.2023 – 11:00 – 13:00 followed by lunch and community gathering

  • Sunday, 30.04.2023 – incl. additional nutrition lecture – 10:30 - 13:00 followed by lunch and community gathering

  • Monday, 01.05.2023 – 11:00 – 13:00 followed by lunch and community gathering

We will freshly prepare a beautiful light lunch together in the blissful setting of the garden that consists of 3 seperate dishes. The menu is chosen so that the participants can try to conjure up something beautiful even from a simple dish that they will probably prepare more often in everyday life. Thus, with simple tips and tricks, we bring more appreciation to our plate and celebrate the meal or the break from everyday life more.
The individual dishes are: A bread with homemade beet hummus, a soup and a salad plus there will be a dessert from the Parkhotel Mondschein.

While using fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients Daniela will teach you how to create a photograph worthy set up on your plate and table. You will learn about composition and colour combinations to transform a simple meal into a memorable, beautiful yet healthy dish. Additionally we use simple accessories (like dried flowers, edible flowers, herbs, seeds etc.) that you can have easily at hand or can buy for small money. Daniela will also show you how to combine textures and shapes of tableware, cutlery and plates. We’re going to prepare three dishes together while having enough time to chat, try out different versions of stylings and photograph your creations. You can bring your camera, but a smartphone is absolutely doing a perfect job as well. 

The menu will be fully plant-based, but if you have further requests concerning your diet, please let us know and we will adjust to your needs. 

The price includes all food and a welcome drink. If you wish to have more drinks like coffee tea or cocktails you can order at the bar.

Additional Nutrition unit

In addition to the community cooking class and lessons on how to present your food in an aethetic way, we will have a introduction to a healthy and vegan diet before starting our creative session. We learn about basic vegan (plant-based) rules one needs to know in order to live a healthy lifestyle. What supplements are there to take? Do some nutrients might come short? Where do I get the proteins? And so on… Furthermore, we have a look at the beneficial effects on your body and why a vegan diet is going to boost your health.

About Daniela from Bananaleaf 

Plant-based chef and nutritionist who loves the beauty of food, fresh ingredients, nature and tableware. Founder of Bananaleaf - a vegan pop-up concept in Munich and winner of the German gastronomic start up Award in 2021. Living in the Bavarian countryside I love growing my own vegetables and herbs and also going on hikes to harvest wild fruits and herbs. 

While I did not go the classic way to become a chef, I instead studied media and design management and worked in the creative industry. One day I decided that my passion for food, which was already consuming all of my spare time should be given even more space in my life, since my interest was not fed up at all. First, I planned a 3 month pop up concept, to try out whether my ideas and my style would be liked by others as well… during this time everything went smoothly and just came to me so easily and naturally, that ever since I am just going with the flow of my ideas, customers wishes and my interests. 

So don’t expect a perfectly shaped concept that tells you exactly how to create a beautiful dish, but rather becoming motivated and inspired by playing with food and allowing yourself to try out new things and get creative. Basically, to fall in love with your food! There is no such thing as perfection. It’s all about the beauty and the joy of the moment.
