Road cycling is feeling the wind on your face, the sun warming your skin, taking on curves, and sprinting through straights. Road cycling is more than just training; it’s about taking in picturesque landscapes, sharing camaraderie, pushing boundaries. This cycling week is for those who crave movement, open spaces, a spark of vitality, and flowing energy. The perfect blend of sport, culture, and culinary delights in South Tyrol.
Due to the spectacular yet demanding terrain around Bolzano, excellent fitness is required to tackle the routes. All tours are rated intermediate to advanced. Climbs often feature an average gradient of 10%, with short bursts up to 18%. This means you’ll need both good endurance and the right equipment: a road bike with drop bars, cycling apparel, a helmet, and clip-in shoes are essential! Your efforts will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views and exhilarating descents on every route.
The itinerary includes three tours of approximately 300 km and 4,500 meters of elevation gain in total, with an average speed of about 25 km/h.

Arrival and welcome dinner at Parkhotel Mondschein
Monday
First Tour- 89.27 km and 1,798 m
The ride begins with rolling terrain before tackling a challenging climb into the mountains. The day ends with an exhilarating descent back into Bolzano.
Tuesday
Second Tour - 76.95 km and 1,277 m
We ride up to Mendel Pass to enjoy the spectacular view before descending towards Lake Kaltern. The route takes you through gentle flats among vineyards and along the river, returning to Bolzano.
Wednesday
Third Tour- 84.44 km and 1,616 m
A relaxed start from Bolzano leads to a challenging climb into the hills, followed by a descent into Lana, where we’ll stop for lunch at Reichhalter. After lunch, a one-hour flat tempo ride brings us back to the hotel.
